ROSE GRECO
Apr 20, 2018Rose Greco, 89, passed away the evening of April 3, 2018, at Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center in Beaver, Pa. Born on Oct. 4, 1928, in New Castle, Pa., she was the daughter of Vito and Josephine Bonoro Johngrass. On Oct. 20, 1948, she married her beloved husband, Louis Greco, and the two of them spent 56 years together until he preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2005. Rose was a member of the Savannah United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and visiting casinos. Rose will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. Rose is survived by her children, Dominic Greco and wife Vincie and David Greco and wife Sandi, all of Hillsville, Larry Greco and wife Vicki of New Castle, Robert Greco and wife Diane of Cranberry Township, Pa. and Barb Davies and husband Robert of New Castle; sister Mary Hurd of Youngstown; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jean Greco; granddaughter, Donnell Josephine Greco; sisters Jenny Johngrass, Jane Johngrass, and Nancy Brooks; and brothers, Phillip, Sam, James, and Pete Johngrass. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road in New Castle. Blessing services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon John Carran of Christ the King Parish. Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
